The RiMS Activity Report 2025 captures a year of growth, collaboration, and innovation in rehabilitation for people living with Multiple Sclerosis. It highlights RiMS’ expanding role as an international network for evidence-based rehabilitation, education, research, and patient-centred practice.

Key highlights include:

  • 30th Annual RiMS Conference, Barcelona: Held alongside the 41st ECTRIMS Congress, the conference brought together more than 120 RiMS members and included sessions on psychological wellbeing, ageing in MS, digital technologies, music and rhythm-based rehabilitation, and innovative cognitive care.
  • Special Interest Groups: RiMS’ six active SIGs continued to drive progress in mobility; bladder, bowel and sexuality; patient autonomy; occupation; mood and cognition; and communication and swallowing.
  • Education & Training: RiMS delivered webinars, e-learning opportunities, a workshop in Ljubljana on progression in MS and NMO-SD, the RiMS Grant Programme, and the Fellowship Programme to support its community.
  • Global and European Impact: RiMS strengthened its role in international projects including the PROMS Global Initiative, TEN4CARE and GESTUS, helping to bring patient perspectives, digital innovation, wearable technologies and rehabilitation needs into research and practice.
  • Partnerships & Funding: Collaborations with EMSP, MSIF, ECTRIMS, CMSC, LACTRIMS, WFNR and journal partners supported RiMS’ international reach, while funders such as Sanofi, Roche, Coloplast, Merck, Amgen, ECTRIMS and the European Union helped sustain activities and projects.
