Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the RiMS Digital Platform operated by Laurea Group bv (LAUREA) on behalf of Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis (RiMS) IVZW. By visiting the platform as a Visitor or by creating an account as a User, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions. Special terms may apply to specific events; where they differ, those special terms prevail unless stated otherwise.
Article 1 – Identity of the service provider & mandate of LAUREA
LAUREA Group bv (registered office: 1000 Brussels, Square Meeûs; C.B.O. 0682.428.751) is mandated by RiMS IVZW to host, build, and manage the digital platform at www.rehabinms.org. RiMS contact details:

Article 2 – Definitions
- Learning materials: Educational content (e.g., slide decks, recorded webcasts/webinars, PDFs, e-learning, newsletters, or other electronic media) on the Platform.
- Terms & Conditions: These Terms that govern use of the Platform.
- Platform: The digital environment hosted by LAUREA (mandated by RiMS) to offer Learning materials.
- Privacy Policy: The Privacy & Cookie Policy of the Platform.
- Visitor: A natural person who visits the Platform without creating an account.
- User: A natural person who creates an account and gains access to all Learning materials.
Article 3 – Scope of application
These Terms apply to the Platform and to all offers, quotations, and agreements related to services offered by LAUREA. By using the Platform, Visitors and Users explicitly accept these Terms. LAUREA may amend or supplement these Terms at any time for future use of the Platform. The Visitor’s/User’s own terms are excluded.
Article 4 – The Platform
The Platform provides Learning materials on multiple sclerosis. Most materials require a user account (Visitors become Users upon registering). Based on the User’s data and preferences, relevant content is offered. A limited set of materials is open to Visitors. Users may also comment or post messages (e.g., questions, links, discussion items) in line with the Behavioral Rules in Annex I, which form an integral part of these Terms.
Article 5 – Object
To use the Platform, Users provide certain personal data so the Platform can operate for the legitimate interests of LAUREA (mandated by RiMS). All Learning materials are provided for educational purposes only and are not medical advice by an accredited professional.
Article 6 – Account
The Account (username + password) grants access to the Platform and remains the property of LAUREA. To create an Account, Visitors provide, at minimum, first and last name, organisation, country, professional address, phone (optional), email, and profession. After registration, email confirmation and password creation are required to activate the Account.
- Details must be accurate, verifiable, complete, and up to date (prefer a professional email address).
- No intermediary servers/proxies for registering or connecting.
- No automatic or false/fraudulent account creation.
- Users may add profile information/preferences to enhance their experience.
- If your details change, update your Account or inform LAUREA promptly.
Article 7 – Intellectual property rights & right of use
Platform IP (and any modifications/extensions) belongs to LAUREA; Learning materials IP belongs to RiMS. Trademarks, logos, images, animations, videos, and texts are RiMS IP and may not be reproduced, used, distributed, or published without prior written authorisation from LAUREA (mandated by RiMS). Users receive a non-exclusive right to use the Platform in line with these Terms from the moment they register and/or access the Platform.
If a User breaches these Terms or misuses the Platform, LAUREA may immediately block or delete the Account without prior notice. LAUREA/RiMS may take legal action to protect their IP. At its discretion, LAUREA may introduce updates/upgrades and will inform Users when such changes are relevant for Platform use.
Article 8 – Availability of the Platform
LAUREA may, without prior notice, limit or disable access where necessary (e.g., maintenance, adjustments, improvements or other reasons). No compensation is due for such unavailability.
Article 9 – Liability
LAUREA undertakes best efforts but does not guarantee results in locating Learning materials. Information on the Platform is general and not tailored to specific circumstances; it is not personal, professional, or legal advice. LAUREA and RiMS strive to keep information complete, correct, accurate, and up to date, and take reasonable steps to protect User data.
If inaccuracies arise or content is unavailable, LAUREA will rectify as soon as possible. However, LAUREA/RiMS cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from use of (or inaccuracies in) Platform information or for malfunction/unavailability. The Platform may contain third-party links (e.g., payment modules); LAUREA has no control over such sites and disclaims liability for their content or characteristics.
Users acknowledge the Platform cannot be perfect or 100% free from imperfections; not all issues can be repaired, though LAUREA will act diligently to address them. If you detect inaccuracies or unlawful use, contact the administrator (see Article 1).
Article 10 – Applicable law & competent court
This agreement is governed by Belgian law. In case of dispute and/or non-payment, the courts of the judicial district of Brussels have exclusive jurisdiction.
Article 11 – Privacy Policy
The specific Privacy & Cookie Policy forms an integral part of these Terms. By using the Platform and/or providing personal data to LAUREA, Users agree unconditionally to that Policy. It is available on the Platform and describes User rights and obligations regarding personal data.
Annex I – Behavioral Rules for Online Participation
By posting on rehabinms.org, you agree to follow these rules to help maintain a respectful, professional, and supportive environment:
- Be respectful & professional: Be courteous; avoid offensive, discriminatory, or inflammatory language.
- Stay on topic: Keep contributions relevant; avoid unrelated promotions or personal solicitations.
- Protect privacy: Do not share personal/identifiable information about yourself, patients, or colleagues.
- No harassment or abuse: Bullying, intimidation, or personal attacks are not tolerated.
- Avoid misinformation: Share accurate, credible information; keep advice evidence-based and within your expertise.
- No commercial advertising: Do not promote products/services/events for commercial gain unless pre-approved.
- Follow laws & platform rules: Comply with applicable regulations and these Terms.
- Moderation: Administrators may edit/move/remove posts that breach these rules and may restrict access for repeated violations.
